At mediford, pathological examinations are conducted by pathologists who are board-certified by the Japanese Society of Toxicologic Pathology (JSTP) and recognized as experts by the Japanese College of Veterinary Pathologists (JCVP) while our numerous histological technicians, all certified by the Japanese Association of Histotechnology (JAH), prepare tissue specimens of hematoxylin and eosin staining, special stains and immunostaining according to our clients’ needs. We carry out various safety studies or efficacy pharmacological tests using rats, mice, guinea pigs, rabbits, dogs, monkeys, mini pigs, etc., and each pathological examination is conducted by experienced and knowledgeable pathologists. According to our clients’ needs, we are also able to provide histopathological examination of formalin-fixed tissues that are sent to us, or preparation of histopathological specimens only. We are able to offer our clients high-quality pathological results through the abundant experience and knowledge of our pathologists and histological technicians.

Mediford Corporation is able to offer pathological peer review for GLP studies. Peer reviews are conducted by pathologists with extensive knowledge and experience in backgroud lesions, drug-induced lesions and those pathogenesis for each animal species. Although there is no absolute requirement to conduct peer review for GLP studies, most authorities expect that some level of peer review is performed, and the demand has been increasing in recent years.
